Job description

We’re looking for a hands-on, visionary Chief Technology Officer to lead our client into its next chapter. You’ll take ownership of a solid and growing codebase, scale a talented engineering team, and establish best-in-class practices for speed, reliability, and innovation—especially as we deepen our investments in AI. This is a rare opportunity to lead both strategy and execution at a moment of real momentum.

As CTO, you’ll:

  • Lead and grow a distributed engineering team (currently 5 developers, mostly in LatAm)
  • Own architecture and technical decision-making across our stack
  • Drive a clear, forward-looking technical vision, especially around AI chat solutions and AI-assisted development workflows
  • Improve dev velocity and reliability by strengthening QA, CI/CD, and operational processes
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Design to turn customer needs into beautifully executed software
  • Report directly to the CEO and work alongside the CPO to shape strategy and roadmap

Our Stack

  • Frontend: Vue.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS

  • Backend: Spring Boot (Java & Kotlin)

  • Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres

  • AI: OpenAI + evolving AI-assisted workflows (Cursor, Claude, and beyond)

  • 7 -15 years of software engineering working experience

  • Previous experience as a Software Architect or Team lead in a start-up environment or corporate.

  • Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams in a startup or growth-stage environment

  • Strong architectural experience across full-stack platforms, especially cloud-native, containerized deployments

  • Deep comfort with modern dev practices: CI/CD, test automation, incident response, observability, etc.

  • Experience integrating or building advanced AI/ML systems (especially LLMs or conversational agents)

  • Ability to build remote-first team culture: clear communication, ownership, mentorship, and velocity

  • A product-oriented mindset—comfortable working cross-functionally to find scrappy, elegant solutions

  • Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)

  • Vacation: 10 business days a year

  • Holidays: 5 National Holidays a year
