Job Description
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Consultant to play a key role in our award-winning Cloud Solutions team. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a diverse and talented group of professionals, designing and implementing innovative cloud technology solutions for a range of clients. As a Consultant, you will be a technical subject matter expert responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including Technical Architects, Project Managers, and client stakeholders.
- Lead technical discussions and discovery sessions with client teams, providing expert guidance and support to ensure successful cloud adoption and project delivery.
- Take ownership of technical workstreams within projects, from design and deployment to post-implementation support and documentation.
- Mentor Associate Consultants, fostering their technical and professional growth.
- Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to client projects and contributing to internal best practices.
- Actively pursue advanced, industry-relevant certifications to deepen your cloud expertise.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A strong interest in cloud computing and a desire to develop expertise in this field.
- Effective problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Practical experience working in IT, professional services, or customer support organizations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Eagerness for professional growth and a commitment to pursuing further education and certifications.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms and technologies.
- 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, professional services, or a similar role.
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on at least one major cloud platform (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure), with a strong preference for Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Google Cloud Build).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A demonstrated track record of professional growth and a commitment to continuous learning.
- One or more cloud certifications, such as Google Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Nice to Have:
- Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or other professional-level certifications.
- Experience in the higher education or SLED market.
- Familiarity with advanced networking, security, or data analytics concepts in the cloud.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Go.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, methodologies, and certifications.

Compensation packages at Burwood Group are based on various factors unique to each candidate including work location, skillset, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
The estimated salary range for this role is ($100,00,000-$120,000). This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
