The Opportunity:

Here at Zensurance, we’ve designed a comprehensive training program for new talent seeking a career in Commercial Insurance Sales and Service. We’re hiring 12 individuals to become Brokers for our Accounts, New Business, and Renewals teams.

No previous insurance experience is required – we provide all the training you need to succeed!

This is a fantastic opportunity for a client-centric professional who holds themselves to the high standards and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role also includes access to a variable pay incentive program which financially rewards performance quarterly.

About Our Sales Teams and Opportunities:

As a New Business Broker, you’ll support the Sales function by handling insurance leads provided directly by Zensurance. You’ll offer continuous support from quote to close to deliver a client-centered sales experience.

As an Accounts Broker, you’ll deliver exceptional service that’s core to our values. In this role, you’ll communicate effectively with clients to fully understand their insurance requirements and make tailored recommendations.

As a Renewals Broker, you’ll be responsible for retaining our existing clients and exceeding expectations with proactive insurance recommendations. This is an opportunity to truly impress our clients at the Renewal stage.

Important Program Details:

  • Training Dates: Friday, August 8, 2025 – Friday, September 26, 2025
  • Training Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (training takes place Monday - Friday)
  • Working Hours (After Training): Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST (This is when you’ll transition into your full-time, permanent position.)
  • Location: Remote within the GTA
  • Compensation: You’ll earn an annual salary of $47,500 while you’re working towards your RIBO license. Once you’re licensed, your salary will increase to $50,000 annually, plus you’ll have the potential to earn up to an additional $6,000 in annual bonuses.

What You Can Expect from the Training:

  • Weeks 1-2 RIBO Exam Preparation: During the first two weeks, you’ll receive intensive Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) training, paid for entirely by Zensurance, to prepare you to write and obtain your RIBO license. We highly recommend dedicating 2-3 hours each evening and some weekend time to studying to ensure you’re fully prepared.
  • RIBO Exam: The exam’s online and takes 3 hours. To pass, you’ll need a score of 75% or higher. A condition of your ongoing employment is to pass the RIBO exam.
  • Weeks 3-7: Zen Academy: After successfully passing your RIBO exam, you’ll join the Zen Academy, a 5-week program focused on providing the foundational skills to be a successful Commercial Insurance Broker at Zensurance.

You’ll Do Some of the Following:

  • Study for and successfully pass the RIBO license exam.
  • Handle insurance leads provided to you.
  • Assess the needs of potential clients to advise on coverage requirements.
  • Continually engage leads to convert requests for insurance into customers.
  • Offer continuous support from quote to bind to deliver a seamless client experience promptly.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our insurance products and help clients with any questions.
  • Recommend operational improvements in our processes to help further improve the overall customer experience.
  • Provide weekly flow updates to elevate the programs and pricing.

Your Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience (transferable industries include retail, hospitality, sales, call center, and more).
  • A strong passion for Sales and Customer Support.
  • A drive to consistently meet and exceed targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple clients at a time.
  • A proactive approach to continually seeking out new ways to learn and grow.
