Job Description
As Global Corporate Communication Director, you will be part of the Global Marketing & Communication Department and play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our corporate communication strategies that promote our company’s brand and awareness, enhance our reputation, support financial communication and strengthen internal cohesion. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for developing compelling communication plans, both internally and externally, that align with our business objectives and resonate with our diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Communication Strategy: Develop and execute cohesive corporate communication strategy, plans and processes that align with the company’s mission, vision and values and fosters a positive corporate image and ensure its deployment at all company’s levels (global and local).
- Corporate Messaging: Craft, write and deliver key corporate messages for internal and external audiences, and ensure consistency in messaging, tone and positioning across all communication channels, materials and activities.
- Public & Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to ensure accurate and positive representation of the company and its activities in the media. Oversee and manage when required the planning, execution and dissemination of press releases, media events and public relations initiatives to enhance corporate brand visibility.
- Crisis Communication: Develop crisis communication plans and guidelines to handle potential issues with transparency and efficiency, directly manage sensitive communication issues across the company (including writing required elements of language) and oversee effective crisis communication towards our diverse stakeholders.
- Internal Communication: Develop and implement the company’s internal communication strategy and initiatives that inform, engage and inspire all employees on the company’s strategy, vision and values, fostering a shared sense of purpose and belonging, this including the communication deployment of HR initiatives, in liaison with the HR teams.
- Financial Communication: In collaboration with the Investor Relationship Director, support the development of consistent and efficient financial communications.
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): In collaboration with the CSR team, support the internal and external communication of our CSR initiatives, showcasing our commitment to sustainable and socially responsible practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address communication needs of diverse stakeholders (including but not exclusive to customers, partners, employees…).
- Digital Communication: Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to enhance reach of our corporate communication & messages and engagement across our digital marketing channels (digital platforms, social media channels).
- Metrics and Analysis: Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns, providing data-driven insights to refine strategies and continuously improve.
- Management & Budget: Directly manage a team of 3 employees (Senior PR Manager, Senior Communication Manager, Internal Communication Specialist) as well as external consultants and agencies. Dotted line management of local communication teams or PR freelancers can also be part of your role, in a matrix relationship mode. Effectively manage corporate and internal communication budgets to ensure resources are allocated strategically.
Qualifications
Requirements for the role :
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: a minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate and brand communications or related roles, ideally including experience within a mid-cap company or similar environment.
Leadership & Management: Proven track record of success in a leadership role including team management and ability to work in a matrix operating and international environment.
Industry Knowledge: an experience in an industry requiring to educate a diverse range of stakeholders (including investors and media) on what is at stake and the opportunities of these sectors. An understanding of the music / digital / tech industry landscape, trends, and challenges would be a plus.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to think critically and develop communication strategies which align with company’s organizational and business objectives.
Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in French and English, with an eye for detail and the ability to craft engaging content for various audiences.
Relationship & Networking: Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships with internal company leaders and teams, as well as external stakeholders (including media and partners), to ensure alignment and relationship building.
Change Management: Experience in driving effective communication during periods of organizational change or growth.
Digital Savvy: Familiarity with digital communication platforms, social media, communication analytics and emerging trends in corporate communication.
