What will you do?

As our Content Manager, you will be at the heart of our brand’s voice, playing a crucial role in shaping how we communicate with our audience. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that resonates with sports enthusiasts and betting aficionados alike. This will involve a dynamic blend of creative writing, strategic planning, and performance analysis, ensuring our content not only informs and entertains but also drives engagement and business objectives.

A key part of your role will be to support copywriting across various critical areas. This includes crafting compelling and compliant copy for our product features, ensuring clarity and excitement around new offerings and updates. You will also contribute significantly to broader brand marketing plays, developing impactful content for campaigns, promotions, and brand awareness initiatives across multiple channels. Your words will be instrumental in building our brand identity and fostering a loyal community.

Furthermore, you will take full ownership of our company blog, transforming it into a go-to resource for sports betting insights, news, and features. This will involve planning editorial calendars, commissioning and writing engaging articles, and ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality content that educates and entertains our audience. You will be expected to leverage your understanding of basic SEO writing principles to optimise all blog content, ensuring maximum visibility and organic traffic, ultimately positioning us as a thought leader in the sports betting space.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business goals and marketing objectives.
  • Manage and own the company blog, including editorial planning, content creation, and performance analysis.
  • Write, edit, and proofread high-quality, engaging copy for product features, marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and website content.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and regulatory compliance standards within the sports betting industry.
  • Conduct keyword research and apply basic SEO best practices to optimise content for search engine visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and design teams to ensure content consistency and effectiveness across all platforms.
  • Monitor content performance, analyse data, and provide insights to continuously improve content strategy and engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, sports news, and competitor activities to identify new content opportunities.
  • Potentially manage freelance writers or external content creators as needed.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Content Manager, Content Creator, Copywriter, or similar role, preferably within the sports, iGaming, or entertainment industries.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and passion for football and a broad range of other sports (e.g., horse racing, basketball, tennis, cricket, rugby, etc.).
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and a strong grasp of grammar and style.
  • Understanding of basic SEO principles and experience in writing SEO-friendly content.
  • Ability to adapt writing style and tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
  • A proactive and creative approach to content generation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
