Job description
About Us At Sleep Doctor, we’re on a mission to help millions of people get a full night’s rest through straight-forward, efficient, hands-on sleep care that makes a difference. We’re a purpose-driven team working at the intersection of science, technology, and empathy to make sleep care more accessible, personal, and effective. Through our trusted brands —SleepDoctor.com, SleepFoundation.org, and SleepApnea.org—we empower people to better understand their sleep, discover solutions that work, and take real steps toward feeling better. Founded by leading sleep expert Dr. Michael Breus, we blend clinical insight with consumer-first innovation to solve real sleep challenges. If you’re passionate about helping people live healthier, more energized lives—and want to be part of a team that’s reshaping the future of sleep care—we’d love to meet you.
About the Role We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and strategic Content Updates Manager to lead the continuous improvement of our top-performing commercial and health-related content on SleepFoundation.org. This role is central to maintaining the quality and performance of content that drives revenue, supports affiliate and sleep care partnerships, and builds trust with our audiences.
As Content Updates Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and executing content updates that respond to shifts in competitive positioning, changes in products and partnerships, UX and CRO test learnings, new research or survey data, and editorial best practices. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across content, SEO, product testing, design, and conversion optimization to ensure our most valuable content is always relevant, high-performing, and aligned with user intent and business goals.
This position reports to Sleep Doctor’s VP of Content and can be based out of our Seattle office or remote.
What You’ll Do
Own the strategy, prioritization, and execution of material updates to Sleep Foundation’s highest-performing commercial and health content
Ensure commercial pages stay competitive and optimized by monitoring traffic and rankings changes, market trends, a competitive set, testing outcomes, product changes, and partner updates
Collaborate with CRO and UX teams to implement learnings from A/B tests, design experiments, and funnel analyses into content structure and messaging
Incorporate feedback and data from product testing, consumer surveys, and business stakeholders to improve content accuracy and relevance
Update health content to reflect new research findings, expert guidance, and emerging sleep science; ensure tone and UX remain empathetic, accessible, and actionable
Work cross-functionally with SEO, content, and business development to align content updates with broader business strategy
Create detailed content briefs and clear documentation of workflows, content decisions, and processes for writers, editors, and content managers
Manage a living calendar of content updates across commercial and health content, driven by seasonality, product launch timelines, and testing priorities
Track performance of updated content through key metrics and report on impact of changes
What We Are Looking For
5+ years of experience in digital content management or editorial production, ideally in a performance marketing or D2C environment
Experience maintaining and optimizing evergreen commercial content, including ranking and review pages
Familiarity with CRO, A/B testing, UX best practices, and how design and content work together to improve conversion
Strong SEO knowledge and fluency in tools such as Google Analytics, Semrush, or Ahrefs
Editorial sensibility with the ability to interpret complex research, survey results, and health data into engaging, user-centered content
Strong communication and project management skills, with experience working cross-functionally across product, SEO, design, and editorial
Comfort working in CMS platforms (WordPress preferred) and managing content production from ideation to publication
Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and a passion for using content to solve real-world sleep and wellness challenges
