Job Title: Creative Strategist & Content Specialist
Location: Remote
Work Shift: Australian Western Standard Time
Working Hours: 40 hours per week/Full-time with the potential for reduced hours in the future
Job Description:
We’re looking for a Creative Strategist & Content Specialist to bring our wedding and event brand to life across social platforms—especially Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok. If you’re passionate about visual storytelling, social media trends, and crafting emotional, results-driven content from real-life moments, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Transform raw video footage and photography from recent weddings and events into engaging short-form content for social media
Design and produce compelling visual assets using tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or VN
Proactively collaborate with internal teams in an asynchronous environment, contributing creative direction and regular updates
Ensure all content adheres to Festoon’s visual identity and brand voice
Interpret creative briefs including supplied copy, CTAs, and storyboards
Stay informed on wedding/event industry trends and evolving social media best practices
Manage and update visual brand assets, including:
- FLA Look Book (style guide)
- Pinterest Mood Board
- Landing page visuals for ongoing campaigns and seasonal updates

- 2+ years of experience in content creation, social strategy, or digital marketing
- Exceptional eye for design, pacing, and storytelling
- Proficiency in design and video editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, VN, or similar platforms
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager and executing social ad campaigns
- Deep familiarity with Instagram Reels and TikTok—formats, trends, and algorithmic behaviors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in an async remote team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and consistency in maintaining brand tone and visual standards
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience in the wedding or event industry
- A portfolio of social-first content (please include if available)
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and social ad execution
