This is not your typical data role. Instead, you’ll be the backbone of our regulatory transaction reporting, driving accuracy, compliance, and innovation across a complex reporting landscape spanning ASIC, EMIR, MiFID, and more. You’ll work at the intersection of data, operations, and compliance, where your attention to detail and problem-solving mindset will make an immediate impact.
Your contribution will be vital in ensuring our transaction reporting processes remain accurate, scalable and efficient across jurisdictions. You will drive structured data analysis, collaborate with compliance and engineering stakeholders, and support ongoing improvements in reporting performance and automation. This opportunity is ideal for a data-driven analyst with strong technical skills and a keen interest in financial regulation.
As our Data Analyst – Transaction Reporting, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Execute, reconcile, and validate daily regulatory transaction reports (EMIR, MiFID, ASIC, MAS)
- Identify and resolve reporting issues, rejections, or discrepancies through proactive investigation
- Collaborate with Compliance, Engineering, and Operations teams to align on data flows and reporting requirements
- Maintain and update documentation, SOPs, and reporting workflows in line with internal standards and regulatory changes
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across transaction reporting processes
- Liaise with third-party vendors and external regulatory bodies where appropriate
About You
- 3+ years experience in a data analysis, operations or reporting function within financial services, ideally in a regulated environment
- Skilled in SQL (data validation, querying), Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, data formatting), and able to work with Python scripts or basic automation tools
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented and structured mindset
- Experience working cross-functionally with compliance, product, engineering, or risk teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work under time pressure and manage competing deadlines across jurisdictions
- Knowledge of transaction reporting obligations such as EMIR, MiFID, ASIC or MAS is a strong advantage
