Data Implementations & Operations

πŸ’° $170k-$210k

Job description

Healthcare quality is declining and soaring costs are crushing American families and businesses. At Garner, we’ve developed a revolutionary approach to evaluating doctor performance and a unique incentive model that’s reshaping the healthcare economy to ensure everyone can afford high quality care. By providing organizations relief from surging healthcare costs, we’ve experienced rapid adoption in the market and have more than doubled our revenue annually over the last 5 years, becoming the fastest growing company in our space. To support our continued growth, we’re expanding our team by over 50% each year, seeking exceptional talent to shape our unique, award winning culture (for example, USA Today Top Workplaces 2025) designed to cultivate teamwork, trust, autonomy, exceptional results, and individual growth that creates an inflection point in your career.

About the role:

We are seeking a Head of Data Implementations & Operations to join our Operations team. This group is essential to Garner’s ability to provide a seamless and accurate benefits experience for our members. We manage key data connections that support our products, including establishing new data feeds with healthcare carriers and performing continuous maintenance to ensure that claims, eligibility, and provider data remain accurate and reliable. Getting this right is crucial for our members’ ability to use and trust Garner.

This position is fully remote and reports to the VP of Operations.

What you will do:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team responsible for the end-to-end implementation and ongoing maintenance of data feeds from carriers, TPAs, PBMs, and benefits administration systems
  • Develop and scale the operational processes for data and network configuration, driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and timeliness to support Garner’s growth
  • Act as the senior leader for the data implementations function, serving as a point of escalation and representing the team in strategic meetings with key clients and partners
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success leadership to drive strategic projects, improve tooling, and ensure the implementation process scales effectively
  • Act as the subject matter expert for your team, guiding them through complex troubleshooting of data file issues and overseeing the research and implementation of provider network configurations
  • Hold the team accountable to high standards of operational excellence, establishing key metrics and processes to ensure data is onboarded accurately and securely

What you will bring to the team:

  • 5+ years of experience in an operations role within a fast-paced startup, high-growth tech company, or other complex, high-performance organization
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team of individual contributors, with a track record of holding your team accountable to performance goals and quality standards
  • Strong data fluency and analytical skills, and a strategic mindset with the ability to learn complex systems quickly, identify opportunities for process improvement, and execute on them effectively
  • Exceptional project management and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to manage difficult conversations and build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical counterparts
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Familiarity with healthcare data sets, particularly claims and eligibility files
    • Knowledge of common data exchange tools and protocols, including SFTP, ETL processes, and data mapping
    • Proficiency with SQL and Google Sheets for data analysis and manipulation
  • You are a proactive, resourceful problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and can navigate ambiguity to drive results

Please note: we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Compensation Transparency:

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $210,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
