We’re Sweed, a product-driven startup building an all-in-one cannabis retail platform. We’re on the lookout for a DevOps Engineer to join our team remotely and help us scale and optimize our platform.

Who are we looking for?
We are in search of a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our technology team. The successful candidate will be a key player in enhancing our infrastructure, implementing automation processes, and optimizing the overall development and deployment pipeline.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development and IT teams to design and implement automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to enhance scalability and resource utilization.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system and application performance, ensuring high availability.
Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure, including resource provisioning, cost optimization, and security.
Work on enhancing monitoring and logging solutions to provide insights into system health and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between development and operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience working in a DevOps or similar role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, Rust, Java.
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
Solid understanding of version control systems (Git).
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Good proficiency in English (B2 or higher)
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and on-premises environments.
Nice to have:
Experience ETL (airbyte/airflow/dagster/dbt).
Understanding the writing of SQL queries.
Worked with Apache Kafka/RabbitMQ.

The Team
We’ve structured our staff into cross-functional teams, each dedicated to a specific product. These teams typically consist of 8-12 members, including front-end and back-end engineers, QA specialists, and analysts. Each team is guided by a Team Lead and a Product Owner, ensuring smooth collaboration and clear direction.
Right now, our total team size is around 180 people, with a distributed development team located across multiple countries. Meanwhile, our CEO, account managers, and customer success team are based in the USA, working closely with us to align product development with business and user needs.
