ABOUT THE ROLE
As a key leader on the Banking Partnerships Team, the Director, Banking Partnerships will help execute the strategic banking agenda for Trustly’s data connection side of the business. In this role, you will drive new and existing relationships with Financial Institutions (FIs) and key partners across the US, Canada, EMEA, and other pivotal countries. This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate and experienced Open Banking professional who can adapt to fast-paced environments, manage key relationships, is well-versed in the financial technology ecosystem, Open Banking, and the regulation involving Open Banking. Areas of focus: partnership creation and management, training, Open Banking industry committee leadership and participation, and more.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Cultivate and grow new partnerships with financial institutions, core system providers, and other key partners within the open banking ecosystem
- Participate in external Open Banking committees and forums representing Trustly and our merchants to influence the direction of standardization and regulation
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define mutually beneficial agreements that expand Trustly’s reach and support our merchants’ goals
- Partner with leadership to create and expand our Bank Partnership strategies within North America, EMEA, and beyond
- Provide internal trainings to employees on our banking data strategy, execution, and go-to-market plans
- Gather business requirements, compile, organize and analyze data, scope the anticipated outcomes, plan milestones and draft clear, compelling narratives for Banking Partnership programs and strategies
- Lead a small team of Product Managers responsible for bank data connectivity
- Partner with various stakeholders and managers to plan, implement and improve solutions bringing best practices and new ways of thinking
- Own the outcome by ensuring objectives and key results are attained so that Trustly’s hyper-growth continues
WHO YOU ARE
- 7+ years of experience within financial services, payments, or financial technology
- Solid knowledge of the tech environment and understanding of the competitive landscape and trends in Open Banking
- Desire to understand and ultimately influence decision makers responsible for payment regulation in the United States
- Ability to understand complex concepts quickly and educate others effectively
- Top performer within your peer group who excels in working in a team-oriented environment
- Effective communication skills with experience and a passion for public speaking
- Consistently achieves goals and objectives
- Ability to build relationships and creatively solve problems while adapting to our dynamic business needs

$190,000 - $210,000 a year
SALARY RANGE: $190,000 - $210,000 USD / year
