About Ratehub.ca

Founded in 2010, we are an online comparison platform for various personal finance products in Canada. We let Canadians compare mortgage rates, credit cards, savings accounts, GICs, chequing accounts, personal loans, insurance products, and investments from major banks, credit unions, lenders, and insurers. We offer tools like mortgage calculators and CardFinder, along with educational articles, to help users make financial decisions.

We also operate an in-house mortgage brokerage, formerly known as CanWise Financial, which guides clients through the mortgage process from initial online search to closing. Our brokerage was named Canada’s Brokerage of the Year from 2018-2021 and has funded over $16 billion in mortgages. It has a 4.9-star rating from over 10,000 online reviews. Over 12 million Canadians visit us annually, with about 1.2 million monthly users.

We earn revenue through compensation from financial institutions when we connect them with customers, for example, through ads or when users apply for products. We also get paid for mortgages funded through our brokerage. Monetized products are labeled “featured,” “sponsored,” or “promoted.”
