Summary
The Director of Communications will be responsible for elevating Deel’s profile and telling its corporate and financial communications updates globally, with a special focus on the US. You will work closely with both internal teams and agency partners to advance our mission. You will also be responsible for sharing Deel’s story with top-tier and trade publications, effectively communicating key company milestones and corporate news moments, and managing complex situations and issues.
Responsibilities
Lead a team focused on corporate communications.
Design and execute comprehensive communication programs that resonate across various functions, both internally and externally.
Play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s narrative. Create clear and compelling messaging around products, visions, milestones, policies and more.
Liaise with agency partners across the world to ensure alignment with Deel’s mission and vision.
Collaborate closely with senior leaders, including C-suite executives to curate impactful moments and narratives.
Foster media relationships with top-tier and trade publications.
Lead communications strategies through routine issues and crisis situations, ensuring that messaging is thoughtful and effective.
Align communications strategies with the broader company roadmap to drive collaboration.
Measure and improve the effectiveness of messaging, channels and practices.
Qualifications
10+ years experience in communications/PR, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Public company and tech/SaaS or HR industry experience preferred.
Strong media relationships.
Broad understanding and experience navigating the complex and ever-evolving media landscape.
Proven experience navigating crises and complex situations.
Expertise in financial communications.
Strong ownership of work.
Proven track-record working on proactive and reactive communications initiatives involving crisis, policy, corporate and financial matters.
Experience managing and working on projects in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
Passion for Deel and the mission of the company.
Go-getter attitude with a desire to help build.
