Job description

Who is Credible?

We are a marketplace where users can compare personalized, prequalified rates and quotes from multiple lenders and carriers, for student loans, mortgages, personal loans, and insurance.

We’re challenging the status quo by giving power to the consumer. We believe in a world where ‘ethical’, ‘lending’, and ‘insurance’ can coexist, so we set out to build innovative platforms that actually work for customers. Our mission is to help people find the best loan or insurance policy possible.

We believe researching and buying loans or insurance shouldn’t be confusing or complex, so we’ve focused on simplicity. We’ve created the only unbiased loan and insurance buying process out there, which makes finding options straightforward and clear.

About the Role

Credible is seeking a Director of Publisher Partnerships to drive growth through strategic partnership with high-impact digital publishers. This is a broad, high-ownership role for a rapidly growing business. You will support the Head of Partnerships in overseeing the end-to-end success of the Publisher Partnerships channel – from revenue forecasting and target-setting to hands-on execution of initiatives – ensuring that Credible’s value proposition reaches more consumers across a range of product categories.

Reporting directly to the Head of Partnerships, you will lead a team and manage our most important publisher relationships. You’ll collaborate across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to prioritize development work and optimize partnership performance. Key mandates include signing and launching new partnerships, managing cross-functional workstreams, scaling programs across product categories, and driving strategic projects that significantly grow revenue. This role is based in New York, NY, and requires a minimum of three days per week in-office. We’re looking for a leader who is proactive, strategic, and execution-focused – someone who thrives in ambiguity and delivers results under tight timelines while upholding Credible’s mission of making important decisions clearer and simpler for consumers.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of publisher partnerships P&L– Assist in setting revenue and growth targets, manage budgets, and conduct detailed revenue forecasting with regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Manage and grow partner relationships – Cultivate relationships with high-impact publisher partners and ensure mutual success and satisfaction.
  • Launch and scale programs in new categories – Expand Credible’s partnership network across new categories by identifying high-value partnership opportunities, driving contract negotiations, and overseeing seamless onboarding of new partners in line with Credible’s expansion strategy.
  • Drive strategic revenue initiatives – Spearhead the execution of key projects and campaigns aimed at accelerating publisher revenue, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet and exceed growth objectives.
  • Champion product and tech integration – Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize and deliver platform enhancements or custom solutions that improve partner integration and performance.
  • Support a high-performing team – Help lead and coordinate across functional groups including marketing, product & development, SEO, and business intelligence, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence in execution.
  • Leverage data for optimization – Monitor partner performance metrics and market trends, using data analysis to identify opportunities for optimization or course-correction, and make informed strategic decisions.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Partner with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, Legal, etc.) to ensure partnership programs are executed smoothly, compliant with regulations, and aligned with overall company goals.
  • Executive communication – Provide regular updates to Credible’s executive team via weekly performance meetings, monthly deep dives, and quarterly business reviews, offering clear insights and action plans to drive accountability and alignment.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is required. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Industry Experience: 10+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic growth roles – with a track record of driving significant revenue through B2B partnerships or similar channels (fintech or consumer finance experience is highly desirable).
  • P&L Management: Proven experience owning or managing a business unit or channel P&L, including setting financial targets, forecasting revenue, and managing expenses to achieve profitability.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Demonstrated success in building and expanding strategic partnerships end-to-end – from deal negotiation and contract execution to program launch and ongoing account growth.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and scaling teams.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Comfortable presenting to C-level executives and crafting compelling decks to articulate strategy, performance, and opportunities (strong deck-building skills are essential).
  • Financial Acumen: High proficiency in financial modeling and analysis (advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills required) to inform decision-making and scenario planning.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Analytical thinker with experience leveraging data and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI) to drive insights and performance reporting (experience with such data platforms is a plus).
  • Adaptability: Experience succeeding in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Brings a calm, problem-solving approach to delivering results under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Location: Must be able to work on-site in the NYC office at least 3 days per week as required.

About You

  • Ownership mindset and proactivity — You take initiative and act like an owner of the business, proactively identifying opportunities and holding yourself accountable for delivering results.
  • Strategic vision with executional excellence — You can craft a forward-looking strategy for the publisher business and also roll up your sleeves to ensure plans are executed flawlessly, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Leadership and collaboration — You develop high-performing teams, communicate clearly, and excel at working cross-functionally. You build trust across the organization and with partners through integrity and transparency.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach — You leverage data and financial analysis at every step, using solid quantitative reasoning (and strong modeling skills) to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Influential communication — You are an excellent communicator and negotiator, capable of engaging C-level partners and internal executives alike. You can articulate complex ideas in simple terms and persuade others to support key initiatives.
  • Resilience in ambiguity — You thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous environment. When faced with uncertainty or pressure, you stay focused and resourceful, quickly adapting strategies while maintaining momentum toward goals.
