Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Distribution Manager who is passionate about transforming healthcare for the better. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to our distributors and partners across the European region, enabling them to unlock the full potential of Butterfly’s innovative solutions and drive impactful change in the healthcare landscape.
As distribution sales manager for Europe your core responsibilities will include;
Distributor and Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and partners across the European region.
- Act as the primary point of contact for distributor inquiries, escalations, and support needs.
Sourcing and Optimization of Distribution Network
- Identify and onboard new distributors and partners to expand market reach.
- Evaluate existing distributors for performance and implement optimization strategies to maximize efficiency and sales growth.
In-Depth Business Reviews
- Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to assess performance against targets, identify growth opportunities, and address challenges.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve distributor performance.
Contract Management
- Negotiate, review, and amend distributor agreements to align with company goals and market conditions.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve disputes as needed.
Training and Development
- Deliver ongoing training programs for distributors and partners on product knowledge, market segments, and sales strategies.
- Stay updated on product developments and ensure distributors are equipped to effectively position offerings in the market.
Market Engagement and Support
- Participate in end-user visits with distributors to support relationship-building and gather market insights.
- Provide assistance in tender and purchasing processes to ensure competitive positioning.
Promotions and Upselling
- Develop and implement promotional campaigns in collaboration with distributors to drive sales growth.
- Identify opportunities to upsell additional products or services to existing customers.
Market Analysis and Segment Development
- Conduct market research to identify new segments and opportunities for product penetration.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor strategies for entering and growing new market segments.
Sales Planning and Reporting
- Develop and execute sales plans with distributors to achieve regional sales targets.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for distributor performance and market trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product, and customer support to ensure alignment with distributor needs and market demands.
This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage relationships across diverse markets and cultural landscapes.
Qualifications
Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
- University Degree
- Based in Europe (either UK or Germany or The Netherlands)
- 5+ years experience in healthcare services (specifically for patient care delivery systems) in either a sales, consulting, account management or customer success role. Strong preference for candidates with a clinical background (e.g. Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy or Allied Health Role).
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders including: Medical Engineering, Administration, IT, clinical, C-Suite, Finance
- Hands on, strong team player, and fully accountable for delivering agreed-upon performance metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organized and able to multitask
- Self-driven and proactive nature with high EQ
- Willing and able to travel across the entire European region with occasional international travel.
Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):
- Medical device industry experience
- Ability to work occasionally with a US based team which may require adhering to Eastern Standard Time Zone (EST) hours.

Location
Butterfly offers a hybrid work model for most positions, with team members spending two or more days a week in the office. While flexibility is key, we value in-person connections that spark creativity and teamwork. This role will be remote based in either the UK or Germany with travel required.

Compensation
Our estimated salary for this role is between 80,000 GBP - 90,000 GBP + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
For this role, we are only considering candidates who are legally authorized to work in the UK or Germany and who do not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status.
