Summary
The role is for a Founding Principal Software Engineer at Nextdata OS, a company building a data-mesh-native platform. The employee will help build a new and secure OS platform for data product developers, applying knowledge in large scale distributed systems, databases, and Kubernetes. The role requires 10+ years of experience in these areas, as well as other specific skills.
Requirements
- 10+ years working on large scale production-grade distributed systems, databases, data infrastructure, or big data management
- Working understanding of Kubernetes and at least one of the public clouds
- Experience as a generalist / polyglot system programmer; RUST, C++, Go, etc
Responsibilities
Help build out the next generation data platform to support decentralized analytical and ML workloads
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building SaaS/PaaS products and contributing to big data / analytics OSS projects or internal data infra products
