The TRM Insights team is an elite group of blockchain intelligence experts who translate complex on-chain data into authoritative, actionable intelligence that drives business decisions. As Head of Insights, you will lead this high-performing team, setting TRM’s thought leadership agenda while maintaining hands-on technical expertise to ensure the highest quality analysis.
The impact you will have here:
- Establish TRM as the definitive source for blockchain intelligence by defining and executing a research strategy that produces industry-leading reports, briefings, and rapid-response analyses on the most critical events in crypto.
- Build and lead a world-class team, creating a center of excellence and shaping the next generation of experts in the blockchain intelligence space.
- Drive TRM’s growth and product strategy by embedding your team’s insights directly into our product roadmap, marketing campaigns, and sales efforts, ensuring our intelligence creates measurable commercial value.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated mastery in conducting complex data analysis, using tools like SQL, Python, and other data analysis platforms. Your hands-on technical skills are current and formidable.
- A proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing technical teams (e.g., intelligence analysts, data scientists, threat researchers), with experience in hiring, coaching, and setting a strategic vision.
- Exceptional communication and data storytelling skills, with a gift for transforming highly technical analysis into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences, from engineers to executives and journalists.
- Deep subject matter expertise and a strategic mindset, combining significant experience in the blockchain intelligence or cybersecurity sectors with the ability to anticipate market-defining trends and set a forward-looking research agenda.
About the Team:
- The team operates with a high level of collaboration and interdependence, fostering an inclusive culture where connections extend beyond work. We value diverse personalities and seek someone who is both results-driven and sociable, with strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, along with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- As a globally distributed team, members may observe different timezones. However, most of the team will overlap between the hours of 7am-12pm PST for meetings and collaboration.
- All team members, regardless of location must have at least 4 hour overlap with PST business hours.
- The team is involved in 2 different on-calls
- Analytics on-call: only requires focus on working time (average of < 1 hour a day every month)
- Data Science on-call: full week on-call to ensure Data Science pipelines are running smoothly (average of 1-2 hours a day every 3 months)

- Build complex products effectively with tight timeframes (1-2 sprints for MVP)
