RESPONSIBILITIES

The Delivery Manager plays a critical leadership role within the three-person Delivery Management Team, overseeing the end-to-end execution of client projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the right technical resources aligned to meet business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on knowledge of the infrastructure and applications that power GeorgeJon environments—including VMware, Windows Server, storage, networking, and disaster recovery platforms. This expertise enables them to independently drive project execution, confidently make or escalate technical decisions, and ensure alignment between client needs and engineering implementation. Delivery Managers act as both project leaders and operational problem-solvers, bridging cross-functional teams to maintain control over scope, timing, and quality. This is remote position.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Act as the operational lead on assigned delivery projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and resource requirements
  • Maintain risk and issue registers, escalate blockers, and drive resolutions with urgency
  • Lead delivery meetings with customers and internal teams to track milestones, raise concerns, and provide clear status updates
  • Coordinate engineering resource assignments based on skillset and project needs
  • Make or facilitate decisions on technical challenges in collaboration with engineering and infrastructure teams
  • Enforce project scope boundaries and manage change control processes
  • Maintain detailed project documentation (decisions, timelines, risks, deliverables)
  • Provide consistent reporting to internal stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Support post-project retrospectives to identify wins, lessons learned, and process refinements

ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and report on project health, delivery metrics, and risk trends across the portfolio
  • Champion process improvements to increase delivery scalability and efficiency
  • Support onboarding of new team members by sharing best practices and delivery frameworks
  • Collaborate with resource managers and leads to forecast and plan staffing needs
  • Contribute to evolving internal documentation standards, workflows, and delivery frameworks

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Demonstrated success managing delivery of technical or infrastructure projects, particularly in on-prem environments
  • Working knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, disaster recovery, and networked storage
  • Strong project governance: milestone tracking, risk escalation, and stakeholder alignment
  • Exceptional communication skills and a talent for driving accountability across cross-functional teams
  • Technical fluency to confidently engage with engineers and facilitate complex decision-making
  • Experience using service or project management tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Asana, Jira)
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to juggle multiple complex projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams); bonus if familiar with ConnectWise or similar tools
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and focused in high-performance environments
