The Role:

We are looking for an In-Store Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, customer engagement, and go-to-market execution. This is not your traditional inward-facing PM role. This role is highly external-facing, requiring you to work directly and extensively with our customers, partners, and industry stakeholders, while also collaborating closely with internal teams.

The In-Store Product Manager will own the strategy, execution, and success of our in-store solutions portfolio. You will define pricing, packaging, and positioning, drive GTM motions, enable sales and partner teams, and lead strategic customer programs with top retailers such as Ahold and Target. Your success will hinge on your ability to understand customer needs deeply, translate them into actionable product and GTM strategies, and act as the face of CommerceIQ to some of our most strategic external relationships.

What Makes This Role Unique

This role is customer-forward. While many PMs focus primarily on internal execution, you will spend significant time engaging directly with external customers and partners. You will:

  • Regularly meet with customers to understand their needs, present roadmaps, and gather feedback.
  • Represent CommerceIQ at industry events, customer business reviews, and retailer meetings.
  • Build deep, trust-based relationships that inform product strategy and accelerate adoption.

Location / Travel:

This is a remote position with approximately 50% travel expected to client locations.

What You’ll Do:

1. Pricing & Packaging

  • Develop and refine in-store product pricing and packaging strategies to maximize adoption, revenue, and market competitiveness.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure alignment with customer value and market trends.

2. Go-To-Market Motion

  • Design, execute, and optimize GTM plans for in-store solutions.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure consistent messaging, coordinated campaigns, and smooth product launches.

3. Value Proposition, Positioning & Messaging

  • Own the development and continuous refinement of product positioning and messaging.
  • Clearly articulate how CommerceIQ’s in-store solutions drive measurable customer value.
  • Ensure all customer-facing materials reflect compelling, differentiated narratives.

4. Sales & Partner Enablement

  • Create and deliver training, tools, and collateral to equip sales and partner teams to sell effectively.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to co-create and deliver joint value propositions.

5. Program Management with Key Retailers

  • Lead and manage flagship programs with key retailers such as Ahold, Target, and others.
  • Serve as the primary external point of contact for these programs, ensuring successful execution, measurable impact, and long-term growth.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5-10 years of product management or product marketing experience, ideally in SaaS or retail technology.
  • Proven experience in external-facing roles with direct customer and partner interaction.
  • Strong track record of defining and executing GTM strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communication, Economics or a related field.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with in-store retail technology, trade promotions, or shopper marketing.
  • Background working with major retailers (e.g., Target, Ahold, Walmart, Kroger).
  • Familiarity with sales enablement and partner ecosystems.

Compensation:

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is USD: $156,000 - $248,000/per year.

This base pay range may be inclusive of several career levels at CommerceIQ and will be narrowed based on a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at CommerceIQ. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock options, as well as potential discretionary bonuses. You will also receive access to:

  • Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage
  • A 401(k)-retirement plan
  • Short & long-term disability insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid parental leave
  • Monthly reimbursements for gym, phone, and internet
  • 10+ paid company holidays in each calendar year, quarterly Global Recharge Fridays, and unlimited PTO
