ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of our client a well-established leader in the electronic payments industry is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join their growing team.

What will you do:

As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot. You will focus on building and optimizing RESTful APIs, managing PostgreSQL databases, and deploying applications on AWS to ensure high performance and scalability. Working within a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will contribute to delivering secure and reliable solutions.

Our client utilizes a state-of-the-art technology stack including Java 23, Spring Boot, AWS, a nd Microservices architecture to drive innovation in the rapidly evolving electronic payments industry.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

  • Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code

  • Optimizing and scaling applications to meet performance and security standards

  • Working with PostgreSQL databases for data modeling and querying

  • Design and build RESTful APIs following best practices for scalability and resilience

  • Participating in code reviews and technical discussions

  • Collaborating on system design using modular, domain-driven approaches such as Hexagonal Architecture (Ports and Adapters)

  • Degree in Computer Science or other relevant disciplines

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in backend development with Java

  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot framework

  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs

  • Excellent communication skills in English
