In alignment with its vision, FairMoney is actively constructing the foremost mobile banking platform and point-of-sale (POS) solution tailored for emerging markets. This is a great opportunity to join and grow with our legal team to support one of the largest and fastest-growing digital banks in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. The role will be dynamic and will leverage your commercial experience and familiarity with financial services. You will additionally provide company secretarial assistance to FairMoney.
Roles and Responsibilities
Finance & Payments: Legal invoice processing, process and track all external solicitor and court-related payments.
Legal Recordkeeping: Document archiving, maintain hard and soft copies of all agreements.
Security Management: Security Register Maintenance, maintain register of perfected legal and equitable securities.
Garnishee Compliance: Garnishee/Mareva Register, maintain register tracking all court orders involving account restrictions.
Mail & Dispatch: Legal correspondence tracking, track all incoming/outgoing mail, court documents, and courier dispatch.
Must have been called to the Nigerian Bar (Minimum of Second Class lower).
Currently enrolled in the NYSC program.
Must reside in Lagos.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong research, drafting. and writing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong proficiency with work technology tools.
Knowledge of Corporate, Investment, Business Transactions, and Telecommunications laws.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance matters.

Recruitment Process
- A screening interview with one of the members of the Talent Acquisition team for 30 minutes.
- Technical interview with Head, Legal for 45-60 minutes.
