Your Purpose
As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, your main goal is to help build and support advanced analytics products that bring value to our users across different teams like Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations. You’ll do this by learning and applying best software practices. You’ll assist in bridging the gap between advanced analytics concepts and practical software development within the machine learning (ML) team. You’ll also get the chance to contribute to the development of machine learning models that directly impact our users.
You’ll be an important part of the MLOps team, learning about and contributing to best practices throughout the entire model lifecycle. This includes helping to enable libraries for efficient data use, contributing to defining features in our feature store, assisting with model documentation, supporting the maintenance of serving architectures, helping with CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring the performance of our ML pipelines.
Your contributions will help us work effectively with other engineers on the technology team, learning how to translate ML model requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions. Your developing expertise will be key in helping to automate processes, improve efficiency, and maintain the reliability of our ML models.

Who You Are
- Have a degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, data science, or engineering.
- Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including common algorithms and concepts (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, regression, classification).
- Experience in DevOps/MLOps and/or tools for automatization for CI/CD.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably with AWS.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), code reviews and automatic testing.
- Understanding parallel programming techniques.
- Basic understanding on Data ingestion and Data Engineering techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience in AWS Cloud Services is a plus.
- Experience with Terraform is a plus.
- Experience in Databricks and MLflow is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Experience with Spark is a plus.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and design solutions, and with data scientists to understand model requirements and implementation details.
- Learn and help the design and development of CI/CD pipelines for ML models, ensuring reproducibility, scalability, and reliability.
- Assist on the creation and maintenance of model serving architectures.
- Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform to manage cloud resources.
- Learn to create libraries that enable efficient modeling processing at any stage of the model lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of ML pipelines.
- Research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to ML models and infrastructure.
