As a People Relations Partner at Figma, you’ll be helping to build a brand new employee relations function that is a key player in supporting our Figmates, our People team, learning & development strategy, and our Belonging, Equity, and Impact (BEI) efforts during a dynamic and high growth phase. You’ll leverage your subject matter expertise and exceptional communication skills to build trust and create thoughtful experiences for our Figmates and influence across the company.

This is a full time role that can be held from our London hub or remotely in the UK.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Review, advise on, and resolve sensitive employee concerns and investigations in a timely manner, including supporting our full life-cycle performance management process
- Conduct complex and sensitive employee investigations with support from legal partners, which may include things such as determining appropriate investigation strategies, carrying out witness interviews, creating any required documents, and determining findings and recommendations for appropriate resolution
- Analyze and provide thoughtful recommendations on complex accommodations and leave matters in concert with our Benefits team
- Drive accountability, in partnership with the People Partners and BEI team, on organizational health issues and specific employee workplace conflicts and concerns, including conflicts with managers and organizations that have gaps in belonging and trust
- Partner closely with BEI, Rewards and Wellness, People Ops, People Partners & Legal team to bring an employee experience lens to the services and processes we deliver
- Provide training to relevant business partners and People team members on employee relations topics and best practices, including the nuances that exist within a global company
- Support the creation of new employee relations policies and processes, develop and iterate on existing ones, and maintain confidential ER data and documentation effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Provide consultative guidance and conduct other duties as needed in support to various business and People teams
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 4+ years of experience in employee relations, extensive employee relations expertise and in-depth knowledge of current ER legislation and best practices
- Experience leading a wide variety of complex employee investigations autonomously
- Excellent decision making, problem solving, critical thinking and writing skills
- Experience partnering with legal teams and in-depth understanding of all aspects of US employment laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts and practices, including ADA, ADEA and FMLA. Working knowledge of CA and NY employment laws and regulations. Working knowledge of global employment law is strongly preferred
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters with compassion and equity
- Ability to work collaboratively, lead and influence at all levels within the organization, and make decisions while keeping all partners and leaders informed
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong time management and prioritization skills
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Ability to position yourself as a credible, proactive and a trusted thought-partner
- Knowledge of and experience with international labor & employment practices in major countries where we do business (UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Japan)
- Experience in a pre IPO/ IPO or acquisition transition company
- Comfort with Google suite of tools, Figma products, and Workday
