Join PurposeMed's team as a Physician to provide high-quality gender-affirming care to patients across Alberta. As a remote-friendly role, you'll have the flexibility to work from home while making an impact in the lives of trans and non-binary individuals. Requirements
- A College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) license in good standing
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage for practice in Alberta
- An interest in gender-affirming care
Responsibilities
- Working with patients from across Alberta who are highly motivated and excited to access care
- Supporting peoples' gender journeys through hormone prescribing and referrals to surgeons
- Working collaboratively with a team including other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and a Psychotherapist to ensure high quality care is provided to all patients
- Reducing wait-times for trans and nonbinary folks in all regions of Alberta
- Advocating for system changes to better support trans and nonbinary people
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience and/or training in trans and nonbinary health care (e.g. from Trans Care BC, Rainbow Health Ontario, WPATH, etc.)
