The role you’ll play

As our Platform Security Engineer, you will work closely with software, DevOps and QA engineers, building and securing our modern cloud infrastructure and services during all the steps of the software development lifecycle. Learning and sharing with other teams, you will use the best tools and practices available to bring the DevSecOps mindset into our dev team’s daily routines.

The team you’ll be a part of

Our Technical Enablement team is a cross-functional team of specialists working closely with all our other engineering teams in several technical aspects (architecture, data engineering, QA automation, performance, cybersecurity, etc.). We ensure that LanguageWire’s Product Suite is built, run, and maintained in a scalable, reliable, performant and secure manner.

· Owning the tools and processes to ensure LanguageWire’s secure development lifecycle:

  • Identifying areas that can improve our cloud security and engineering solutions to improve our security posture.
  • Defining and setting up security metrics and tools to implement a data-driven cybersecurity culture.
  • Working closely with our SREs on Infrastructure & Cloud Security
  • Working closely with our dev teams to incorporate strong security controls, apply security best practices and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities as part of our secure software development life cycle.

· Interfacing with cybersecurity experts on the customer side (e.g., Security engineers, Infosec managers, CISOs) answering all questions related to cybersecurity measures and flows in our Product Suite.

· Supporting our compliance management team with the technical, security-related aspects of certifications like ISO27001 and TISAX.

  • Our infrastructure and applications comply with security best practices proven by data.

  • Our dev teams have a strong DevSecOps mindset and there is a great security culture.

  • You have become a reference for our dev teams regarding all cybersecurity matters.

  • You have had successful dialogues about cybersecurity in the LW ecosystem with 4-5 experts on the customer side.

What does it take to work for LanguageWire?

What you’ll need to bring

  • 5+ years of security engineering experience

  • Solid understanding of what it takes to build and operate secure systems at scale.

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and using automation tools like Terraform.

  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g. Azure or GCP), container deployments using Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience maintaining and improving security processes to engineering teams.

  • Comfortable explaining security topics to engineers and cybersecurity experts, both internal and external.

This will make you stand out

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or Cybersecurity Architect Expert
  • Experience with microservices
  • Experience building authentication & authorization systems (OAuth2, OIDC, ABAC, RBAC, ReBAC, etc.).
