The Community You Will Join:

As the City Portal Manager, you will lead Airbnb’s City Portal, a pioneering product empowering over 1,000 governments globally. You will collaborate cross-functionally to set the strategic direction for this product, working closely with our talented product teams to develop cutting-edge features. Additionally, you will take ownership of implementing comprehensive training, reporting, and feedback programs, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal and external users in a scalable manner.

Since launching in September 2020, the City Portal has expanded to over 1,000 places globally. As adoption grows rapidly, we’re looking for a project manager and account owner dedicated to scaling our impact and turning every user into a champion. This role will require a unique blend of operations experience and strong communication skills, leading relationships with external Portal users, ensuring their success and will share goals with Product and local policy teams. This role sits within the Policy Products sub-team of Policy Central and plays a key part in building strong, compliant relationships with governments worldwide.

This role sits within the Policy Products sub-team of Policy Central and plays a key part in building strong, compliant relationships with governments worldwide.

A Typical Day:

  • Lead the strategic evolution of Airbnb’s City Portal product, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape its development and ensure it meets the needs of over 1,000 governments worldwide.
  • Lead a programme to onboard and manage government partners, aligning on goals, success metrics, and expectations, and providing tailored collateral and live product walkthroughs.
  • Collaborate with product, policy, and operations teams to drive the Portal’s evolution, develop new features, resolve friction points, and ensure compliance and effective usage across geographies.
  • Gather feedback from users, surface improvement opportunities, and develop scalable processes, like playbooks and training, to support continuous improvement and adoption.

Your Expertise:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and navigate complex internal organizations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with experience influencing and aligning diverse stakeholders across the globe.
  • Data-driven and solutions-oriented, with strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience with government, regulatory, or policy environments is a plus.
  • Personal integrity that reflects Airbnb’s core values and commitment to diversity and belonging.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Pay Range

$145,000—$170,000 USD
