Job description
We are looking for a Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect to help lead our Power Platform team. The ideal candidate will have broad expertise across all Power Platform components including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot, Dataverse, Power Platform Admin Center, and play a key role in building modern, internal and customer-facing solutions that enhance business efficiency. We expect this role to be skilled in the design and development of solutions as well as highly experienced with the administration, configuration, and licensing aspects of Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture & Design: Design Power Platform solutions that align with business requirements and technical constraints.
- Platform Administration: Manage Power Platform Admin Center configuration, environment setup, security policies, and governance frameworks.
- Application Development: Lead development of complex model-driven and canvas Power Apps, Power Pages portals, and Power Automate workflows.
- Integration Strategy: Architect integrations between Power Platform components and external systems, including Dynamics 365, Azure services, and third-party applications.
- Licensing Optimization: Analyze and optimize Power Platform licensing strategies to minimize costs while meeting functional requirements.
- Environment Management: Design and implement application lifecycle management (ALM) processes across development, test, and production environments.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, data loss prevention policies, and compliance requirements within Power Platform solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance on Power Platform best practices, architectural decisions, and technology roadmap planning.
- Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain architectural documentation, development standards, and governance policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of comprehensive Power Platform experience across development, administration, and solution architecture.
- Power Apps: Expert-level experience developing model-driven applications, including custom entities, forms, views, business rules, and security models.
- Power Platform Admin Center: Proficiency with environment management, user administration, data loss prevention policies, and tenant-level configuration.
- Power Automate: Advanced experience creating complex workflows, including approval processes, data synchronization, and system integrations (Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows for RPA, AI Builder).
- Power Pages: Experience building external-facing portals and websites with proper authentication and data integration.
- Data Management: Strong understanding of Microsoft Dataverse, including data modeling, relationships, security roles, and performance optimization.
- Integration Capabilities: Knowledge of Power Platform connectors, custom APIs, Azure Logic Apps, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Custom Development: Proficiency in JavaScript, Power Fx, JSON, and SQL for custom functionalities.
- Knowledge of Azure services: Logic Apps, Azure Functions, AI/ML, Cognitive Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Power Platform Certifications: PL-600
- Experience with Dataverse Web API, custom connectors, and Azure API Management.
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code best practices and governance.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365, Power Virtual Agents, or Copilot AI.
- Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, government, or supply chain.
