You’ll work primarily across our regional based customers and join likeminded Integration experts who take pride in what they do and who they do it for.
About the Role (Your Why)
This is a key, strategic role within Datacom, tasked with driving growth, innovation and ultimately commercial success for a market facing proposition. Working within the Digital Engineering division, you will contribute to the future of our Integration proposition for Integration. You will take responsibility for growing a high performing team, as well as positioning, selling, and delivering solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations. The Integration Practice Lead role in Datacom is a senior position leading a specialised area within our high-performing Digital Engineering business. With responsibility spanning the entire process from capability development to identifying business value and managing delivery this is a challenging role demanding the highest level of people, technical and business skill. You will utilise your deep technical experience in Integration to provide insight and solutions to our large set of customers across New Zealand.
What You’ll Do:
Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and technical leadership in Integration and APIs. We want someone who can absorb new ideas and challenge the thinking of others, with a view to providing great future proof outcomes. Must have a clear understanding of deployment strategies (on-premise, cloud and hybrid), lifecycles (SDLC and API), integration security concerns and governance.
Integration Expertise: Proven prowess in API and Service Modelling. Experience developing APIs in Java SpringBoot, as well as experience in integration platforms. For example: MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Kong, Dell Boomi, IBM ACE, Kafka / Confluent Cloud. Experience with cloud powerhouses (like AWS or Azure) or Event Streaming (like Confluent or Kafka) is a bonus!
Sales: Articulate and evangelise the integration value proposition across Sales, Service and Marketing to internal stakeholders, customers and the wider market.
Team Leadership: Define and execute the capability plan to create a culture of success, including team growth, performance, and development.
Commercial and financial management: Create and manage the project budgets, including month-end processes, invoicing and reporting.
Partner Engagement: Participate in planning around opportunities and product roadmaps to ensure we work with our partner both efficiently and with impact.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for someone with solid technical knowledge, so previous experience in technical leadership roles involving Integration is a definite must. As you develop your Practice, you’ll be comfortable with hands-on delivery, requiring past experience in implementing end-to-end Integration solutions and staying current with the latest technologies.
You will have demonstrable experience driving growth, managing commercial operations and leading innovation. You will have excellent people skills, commercial acumen, and a solid understanding of software professional services delivery.
