Job description
About the Role
At Koru, we work at the intersection of product, UX, and front-end development. Our clients — from billion-dollar healthtech giants to bold AI-led startups — embed our teams deeply into their product workflows. And that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a Product Manager who thinks like a product owner but operates in a consultancy model. Someone who embodies product thinking without needing to “own the product” — yet still drives clarity, quality, and impact as if they did. Someone who understands great UX isn’t a phase, but a mindset that spans discovery to delivery.
What You Will Do
Client and Product Partnership
- Be the connective tissue between our teams and client product orgs — founders, VPs, product owners, and engineering leads.
- Understand their roadmap, their priorities, their risks — and align our design and dev sprints to match their tempo.
- Run regular check-ins, demos, and planning calls that add value, not overhead.
Product Thinking & Execution
- Translate fuzzy ideas into structured backlogs, lean MVPs, and measurable milestones.
- Shape user journeys and flows alongside our UX leads.
- Align product decisions to user needs and product strategy, not just internal pressures or deadlines.
Agile, the Way It Should Be
- Lead agile ceremonies — sprint planning, demos, retros, backlog grooming — with energy and intent.
- Use tools like Jira, Notion, or Basecamp to bring alignment and clarity to team and stakeholders.
- Track velocity, unblock teams, and make data-informed decisions to course-correct.
Team Coordination
- Work closely with cross-functional teams — UX designers, front-end engineers, QA, and client-side product folks — to ensure consistent progress.
- Balance pace and quality, while keeping team morale and client trust intact.
Operational Ownership
- Maintain transparency in effort, timelines, budgets, and team utilization.
- Drive documentation — from timelines to functional specs — that’s useful, not perfunctory.
- Proactively flag risks and help clients plan realistically, not reactively.
What You Bring
- 4–7 years of experience in product/project management in a services or digital consulting environment.
- Proven success managing UX and front-end development teams, especially for enterprise-grade web applications.
- Deep familiarity with agile delivery practices — beyond rituals, you understand intent.
- Excellent communication — you can hold your own in a room full of engineers, designers, and C-level execs.
- A mindset of ownership without ego — you lead with context, care, and clarity.
Bonus Points
- Experience in healthcare, logistics, insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to AI-powered product workflows or integrating AI features into B2B products.
- A natural builder of process hygiene and team rhythm.
Why Koru?
- Design-forward, impact-led. We don’t ship fluff. We build real, used, high-stakes enterprise products.
- AI-first and UX-obsessed. You’ll be part of shaping the future of how AI and UX blend in healthtech and enterprise products.
- A tight-knit, no-fluff team. Clear thinkers, curious minds, and people who give a damn.
- Flexible and remote. Work from anywhere, but be present where it counts.
Apply If You…
- Think like a product owner, act like a consultant, and lead like a partner.
- Get energy from unblocking people, structuring ambiguity, and making ideas real.
- Believe that execution is everything, and clarity is your superpower.
