Main Responsibilities:
- Be part of a cross-functional team of product owners, engineers and designers to deliver your product on a global scale.
- Be a subject matter expert for your product and subject domain, with an awareness of how your product impacts the broader business objectives.
- Develop features & user stories in the product backlog and work with engineering team to deliver the vision for the product.
- Understand the balance between achieving the desired business results and building a product that brings value to clients.
- Understand customers and their pain points through qualitative user research methodologies such as in-depth interviews and prototype walkthroughs.
Requirements:
- 4 plus year experience as a product manager, management consultant or product owner, preferably working in the financial services industry
- Excited about producing world-class software and determined to lead by example.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a high paced environment to short deadlines in an agile fashion and unafraid to make quick decisions
- A customer-first mindset in everything you do.
- Excited about imagining ways to solve business problems using technology.
- Experience of working with tools to manage backlog work items and interact with product development teams towards a shared outcome is ideal but not a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in implementing SaaS Products
- Experience in Financial Services products
- Understand the value of design thinking methodologies and champion them is ideal but not a must.
- Experience in designing business processes and features, utilising design thinking methodologies is ideal but not a must.
