What does this role entail?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Compliance Analyst to join our Privacy and Risk team. This is a high impact role for a compliance professional with strong regulatory acumen, operational rigor, and the ability to drive independent initiatives in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maturing a global compliance program that ensures alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., Global outsourcing requirements for financial services, etc.) and internal risk and governance frameworks. You’ll operate as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor across business functions, embedding compliance by design principles into operational processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SaaS environments, regulatory trends, and a hands-on approach to program execution, with the capacity to lead, influence, and deliver from day one.
Your Responsibilities:
Maintaining a registry of key guidelines, laws and regulations that impact Fenergo, directly or indirectly through its client base.
- Analysing and interpreting their impact on the Fenergo’s operations and identifying any potential risks.
- Staying up to date with changes in those guidelines, laws and regulations.
- Working with individual business areas to identify and operationalise appropriate controls to address identified risks.
- Providing guidance and support to employees on compliance related matters.
- Serving as a point of contact for customer audits.
- Developing and maintaining awareness material, playbooks, FAQs and delivering training to employees.
- Supporting customer and prospective customers’ due diligence questionnaires.
- Reviewing customer contracts and attending customer calls to ensure contracts comply with operational processes.
- Enhancing program objectives and key results, and reporting to senior management on a regular basis.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business or related field.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CISA or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of compliance or risk management experience, ideally in a SaaS or regulated technology environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead compliance initiatives independently, working cross functionally with product, legal, engineering and other teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Highly analytical, detail oriented, and capable of balancing risk and business priorities.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast paced, high growth environments, managing multiple workstreams and deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in a cloud-native SaaS environment, with knowledge of cloud service providers’ shared responsibility models (e.g., AWS).
- Familiarity with third party risk management practices, particularly as they relate to, compliance and outsourcing governance.
- Hands on experience with compliance tooling and GRC platforms such as OneTrust.
