Job description

Description

Sprout Social is seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Partnerships Director to lead and scale our most mission-critical relationships across social networks, platforms, and technology ecosystems. This high-impact role sits within ourproduct organization, giving you direct influence over roadmap discussions, prioritization, and long-term product direction. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our most strategic partnerships are deeply integrated into how we build and scale, driving innovation, collaboration, and growth through exceptional partnerships.

In an industry undergoing rapid transformation, this role will serve as a key bridge between product innovation, go-to-market strategy, and partner execution. You’ll connect Sprout’s internal ambitions with the capabilities of our most important partners—accelerating integration timelines, co-creating differentiated solutions, and delivering measurable value to our customers and our business.

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of navigating ambiguity, directly influencing and impacting product strategy and the roadmap, and building new and existing relationships at companies of all sizes. You’ll bring executive-level polish, deep domain expertise, and a proven track record of driving high-impact initiatives from concept through launch.

We pride ourselves on exceptional people and relationships. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Sprout - driving step-change growth while working across senior internal and external stakeholders. You will bring a bias for action, deep experience navigating complex organizations, and the ability to turn relationships into real business outcomes.

Why join Sprout’s Partnerships team?

Product partnerships are a strategic growth lever at Sprout Social. As part of a nimble, high-impact team, you’ll operate at the intersection of innovation and execution. Your work will have direct visibility with Sprout’s executive team, shaping how we build, scale, and differentiate our platform in the market.

This role is for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys navigating ambiguity, and is eager to leave a long-term mark on both Sprout’s business and the broader ecosystem we operate within.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and expand strategic platform relationships with social networks and key technology partners—driving long-term alignment and shared value.
  • Lead Sprout’s first-to-market product strategy with partners by identifying integration opportunities, advocating for API access and roadmap visibility, and aligning internal resourcing.
  • Build and execute joint business plans and quarterly business reviews with C-level and VP stakeholders across both organizations.
  • Translate partner capabilities into product outcomes, working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Evaluate new partnership opportunities and shepherd them from pitch through launch and scale.
  • Structure and negotiate high-impact agreements, balancing speed, scale, and strategic risk.
  • Develop and manage reporting and financial tracking of strategic partnership activities
  • Stay ahead of competitive trends and identify white space opportunities for growth, innovation, and differentiation.
  • Serve as Sprout’s ambassador at select industry events, conferences, and partner summits.

What you’ll bring

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 10+ years experience building and managing strategic partnerships, ideally with or within large social networks or enterprise technology platforms.
  • Demonstrated success owning senior executive relationships and influencing long-term product and business roadmaps.
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to identify integration opportunities and assess partner APIs for alignment with internal capabilities.
  • Deep cross-functional leadership experience, especially with product and engineering stakeholders.
  • Experience working in high-growth, matrixed environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel at least quarterly for partner engagements.

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience in B2B SaaS or the social media technology ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data compliance, monetization models, and product development cycles of platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, or Pinterest.
  • Executive communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • A bias for action, balanced with strategic thinking and operational excellence.

How you’ll grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:

  • Complete onboarding and gain a deep understanding of Sprout’s product, partner ecosystem, and strategic priorities.
  • Begin building trust-based relationships with Sprout stakeholders and partner contacts.

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Fully own one or more network partnerships and lead cross-functional alignment around joint objectives.
  • Drive and lead Joint Business Plans including Quarterly Business Reviews, highlighting strategic advancements and alignment with partner priorities.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between product and marketing on all developments.
  • Develop and begin executing partner strategies and roadmaps tied to measurable KPIs.

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:

  • Lead high-stakes discussions with partners and internal executives around product alignment, market opportunities, and co-investment.
  • Influence partner compliance, API strategy, and risk mitigation planning.
  • Coordinate internally and with our partners to track our Objectives & Key Results.
  • Help shape Sprout’s broader partner operating model and strategic prioritization framework.

Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:

  • Drive company-defining outcomes through joint initiatives that deliver differentiated capabilities and revenue impact.
  • Identify and operationalize new first-to-market partner opportunities, setting a new bar for speed and innovation.

Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.
