Clover has built one of the most proactive, data-driven health care services platforms and is excited about how technology impacts our ability to bring transformative results to both patients and providers.
We are seeking an experienced Provider Development Lead to drive business and market development initiatives for our managed-care service operations in Southern New Jersey. This is a great opportunity for someone with a “doer” mentality and deep connections in the New Jersey healthcare market that’s looking to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing healthcare technology company.
As a Provider Development Lead, you will:
- Lead business development and physician onboarding activity for Clover Care Services in New Jersey including developing, articulating, and executing a growth plan for Clover Assistant in the Southern New Jersey region.
- Expand our existing partner base through leveraging your existing network and generating and qualifying new leads.
- Manage and drive performance with our existing partners; forecast and hit weekly target metrics; travel to clinical practices and facilities within the state to meet directly with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Partner with leadership, internal finance and legal teams to negotiate and execute deals.
- Oversee the short and long term success of our accounts by setting and tracking key metrics.
- Collect feedback on services and offerings within the market and relay information back to our product development teams.
Success in this role looks like:
- In the first 90 days, you’ll assess the provider landscape in Southern New Jersey, develop a strategic growth plan for Clover Assistant, and begin leveraging your network to generate new physician leads. Early wins include closing initial partnership agreements.
- In the first 6 months, you’ll have successfully landed and scaled partnerships with key provider organizations, driven high adoption and satisfaction scores, and implemented repeatable processes for onboarding and engagement. You’ll also identify opportunities to optimize partner performance using data insights and support internal teams with feedback to inform product development.
- Future success includes establishing a high-performing, scalable provider development function in Southern New Jersey that consistently delivers on growth and retention goals. You’ll drive regional strategy and strengthen Clover’s reputation as the leading partner in healthcare enablement.
You should get in touch if:
- You have 10+ years of experience with value-based care agreements, including shared risk models.
- You live in New Jersey and have deep business development experience and a strong healthcare network within the state. You are also able to travel regularly within the southern NJ region.
- You have experience in market analysis, lead generation, contract negotiation, and deal execution.
- You have well-developed leadership skills and the ability to set and communicate clear goals, influence, collaborate and motivate others. Experience overseeing a team of account managers or customer success associates is a plus.
- You deeply understand the healthcare industry, including the needs and challenges of clinicians and healthcare providers.
- You are comfortable working in a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” role.
