In this role, you will champion the ‘Shift Left’ philosophy, implementing practices and strategies that enhance quality and efficiency from the early stages of the software development lifecycle.
As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for driving best practices in quality assurance, continuous integration, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, guiding the team in adopting testing strategies that identify and resolve issues early. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence while mentoring other engineers to elevate their skills.

- Proven experience in a senior QA role in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Strong knowledge of test automation and test management tools ( Jenkins, X-Ray/Zephy r).
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or .NET, C#, and Playwright for E2E testing.
- Comfortable using Postman, working with REST APIs, and debugging backend issues.
- Solid understanding of Docker, Bash scripting, and working in CLI-based environments.
- Experience with CI/CD tool such as GIT.
- Solid Experience using Terraform for IAC.
- Bonus for knowledge in Flurl, RestSharp, Refit, or Asp.Net Core integration‑test libraries and tSQLt
- Highly proactive and capable of taking ownership with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
For one of the Projects we have, you must have:
- Ability and flexibility to work on-site in Porto regularly and sometimes with short notice.
- Willingness and eligibility to travel to California for 1 week every 3⁄4 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the quality process end-to-end for complex product features and releases.
- Continuously test, validate, and monitor builds using Jenkins and testing tools such as X-Ray or Zephyr.
- Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript or .NET, C#.
- Interact with APIs and perform backend validations using Postman.
- Run and debug the application locally in non-standard environments.
- Build and use Bash scripts, work extensively with the terminal, and manage Docker containers.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams, escalate quality issues promptly, and proactively drive resolution.
