About the Role:
The Hardware Engineering team is responsible for the engineering, manufacturing and testing of the complete autonomous vehicle, encompassing both components and fully assembled vehicles. This responsibility extends to the base vehicle platform as well as the discrete modules that constitute Stack’s Automated Driving System.
As an integral member of the hardware engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Stack’s Quality Program. This role encompasses both internal operational procedures and the facilitation of Stack’s acquisition and maintenance of industry standard quality certifications.
The ideal candidate is located in Pittsburgh, PA with the expectations around the role requiring regular onsite presence at our New Stanton, PA site. Consideration will be given to remote employees on a case by basis. This position will also require some infrequent travel to partner sites.
Responsibilities:
- Create and Manage Stack’s overall Quality Program.
- Lead internal and external quality efforts including with OEM and Tier1 partners.
- Maintain data-driven reports on Stack’s quality performance.
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to implement Quality Assurance processes.
Qualifications:
- BS in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering or other relevant fields.
- Minimum 10 Years of Experience or equivalent combination of degree and experience.
- Certification: ASQ certification a plus.
- Previously held quality role in automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
- Expertise with ISO-9001 and IATF-16949 quality standards.
