Reporting to our QA Manager, we are looking for a technically savvy Lead QE to join our team and help drive the growth of INSTANDA.
You will be an SME in Testing, providing leadership not just at a scrum team level, but in the QA Team and across multiple areas or projects. The role combines hands-on testing and leadership activities to support and guide testing across multiple teams and/ or projects.
This role is fully remote.
What you will do
Ensuring that testing is being directed based on current needs, in line with the defined roadmap and working with QA Manager/s to ensure resourcing needs are anticipated
Collaborating with Development Leads and other stakeholders to champion and guide the implementation of testing practices to support delivery within the project and teams
Actively participating in all phases of software development lifecycles, getting hands-on to support testing activities across teams
Collaborating with Business Analysts and Development teams to analyse requirements and build the appropriate plans and support the testing effort
Monitoring, measuring and reporting on team progress while supporting your team/s to ensure their ability to deliver on their commitments and team objectives
Applying and articulating extensive, practical experience with modern test practices within an Agile context to the test engineers and developers
Understand INSTANDA’s features, functionality and intended use to effectively plan, design, and oversee testing activities
Proactively supporting the QA Manager/s in driving continuous improvement with the training, tools and processes to support the QA Team and across the company
Supporting Quality Engineers to build and maintain a positive, effective and efficient team, including coaching and mentoring
Line management responsibilities for Quality Engineers
Providing timely updates to the QA Manager on the progress of their projects, escalating concerns where required
Proven ability to lead in delivering Quality at a scrum team or project level
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders (other teams, vendors, suppliers, etc.)
Strong team and stakeholder management skills
Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills with a passion for continuous improvement - we are a fast paced, agile environment
Flexible, resilient, with a good commercial acumen coupled with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
We would love it if you have:
- Previous exposure working with a SaaS product, in a high growth company or in the insurance industry
