LastPass is looking for a Release Manager:

In this role you will coordinate the critical process of moving releases from development to production. You will manage release-related risks and collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams to ensure quality, compliance, and regulatory standards are met for all production deployments.

Who will you work with?

You will work with other release managers and with people across the engineering organization to make sure releases are timely and successful.  You will engage with test and QA to validate release readiness, and with development engineering to confirm success after release.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Coordinate all the efforts around the releases of different parts of our LastPass offering.
    • Drive planning of all changes released to production – what, when and how is going to be released.
    • Implement risk management of the releases to ensure we control the risk of a single release.
    • Work close with other RMs to make sure dependencies between product releases are kept.
    • Work close to engineering teams to ensure the quality gates and to hit the organizational standards of our pipeline.
    • Ensure all component release flows are compliant ready (SOC2/IRAP).
    • Measure and monitor release progress.
    • Create deployment packages, deploy and validate release packages, create release administration.
  • Contribute to improving our release flows and its experience with ideas and expertise.
    • Participate in community driven decision making.
    • Establish hybrid development model and optimize it for collaborative release processes.
  • Mentor less senior team members.
  • Work towards complying with our processes.
  • Create and maintain internal technical documentation.

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Background in computer science, engineering, science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in software development
  • Strong understanding of release and delivery management best practices
  • Experience with CI/CD, build and release management
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git/Bitbucket, GitLab CI, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus
  • Ability to solve complex problems independently
  • English proficiency (written and spoken); able to communicate complex ideas clearly
  • Experience with version control and issue tracking systems (e.g., Git, JIRA)

It’s great, but not required:
