Radformation

We were founded in 2016 to develop FDA-cleared software tools for radiation oncology cancer treatment planning. Our software helps cancer clinics improve treatment planning efficiency and reduce errors, working as a plugin within the Eclipse Treatment Planning System.

Our products include ClearCheck, which automates plan checks and documentation; ClearCalc, for independent dose calculations of photon, brachytherapy, and electron plans; EZFluence, for automated 3D planning that supports FiF/eComp planning and 3 & 4 field breast planning; AutoContour, our AI-driven software that automatically segments over 290 deep-learning contours and 50 common clinical structures in seconds; ChartCheck, which monitors patient data with weekly checks and alerts for ongoing treatments; and QuickCode, our billing QA software that checks charges and identifies incorrect codes. We also launched RadMonteCarlo and RadMachine in 2022. RadMonteCarlo performs independent Monte Carlo calculations for photons, electrons, and protons, and RadMachine helps capture and analyze QA data for therapeutic and diagnostic imaging.

We’ve grown from 500 clinic installations in 2019 to 2,000 by 2024. In 2024, we acquired Limbus AI.

Our mission is to make radiation oncology cancer treatment planning more efficient and reduce errors. We want to help cancer patients get faster treatment with safer, smarter radiation plans. Ultimately, we aim to reduce cancer’s global impact and save lives by providing standardized, high-quality care worldwide.

A team of clinical physicists founded Radformation in 2016. They wanted to automate and improve the radiation therapy workflow, which led to our culture of being “Built for Clinicians, by Clinicians.” We’ve grown to 150 team members by 2024 and expect to reach 200 by 2025. We operate as a fully-remote, collaborative team.
