About the Role:
What you’ll be doing:
- leading a team of motivated software engineers from different backgrounds
Together with your team you will be …
- operating the GROPYUS IoT infrastructure inside our GROPYUS managed buildings
- evaluating and integrating new (IoT) hardware into our existing ecosystem and ensuring that it can be used to deliver customer value
- working closely together with your product management peers and other engineering team leads deliver the right solution
- collaborating with our vendor manager to make sure we scout and evaluate the right products
- keeping up to date with new developments especially around smart building and smart homes
What you bring:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with exposure to distributed systems and operating devices across various locations
- Professional experience in leading a software engineering team
- A good understanding of smart home and smart building technologies
- Experience in working with Linux based operating systems
- Experience in driving and documenting software system architecture in general and the decisions made in this respect in particular
- Experience in working in an agile environment
- Curiosity exploring new technologies and their possible value contribution to GROPYUS
