Job description
Zipdev is looking for a Jr/Mid Fullstack Developer with React experience to join our remote team initally for a 6-month contract.
Cultural Aspects: Music lover and musician with the same passion for technology. The ideal candidate has been in a band or around music their entire life. They have an outgoing personality and self-starter who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into areas they are not familiar with.
Work Process: Have several years of experience working in SCRUM and as part of a pod. The candidate must also be used to time-estimating tasks and understanding Epics, Stories, and Tasks. Understanding Kanban and Scrumban and working closely with a Product Manager, Product Owner, and Technology lead is critical. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once if needed, strong sense of time management, and attention to deadlines shipping products.
- Candidates must be able to talk through a day in life on past development projects they have been a part of.
- Discuss their style and approach to solving a task they must perform while still determining the technological outcome.
- Go into detail about their involvement with Scrum and dive into how they t-shirt estimate and if they worked using tempo.
- Strong understanding of Product Roadmap and examples of how they worked on projects that have deadlines.
- Ability to work within a peer-to-peer development environment, code review, pushing to dev, staging, and production environments.
- Background in working in Jira , Tempo, Mixpannel, GTM, and messaging tools.
Technology Background:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack or Frontend Developer
- Strong proficiency in React, including hooks, context, and component architecture
- Experience with C# and .NET
- Experience working on production web applications (deployment, debugging, performance)
- Familiarity with modern frontend tooling, especially Vite
- Basic understanding of backend systems and ability to collaborate across the stack
- Comfortable working with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD workflows
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Nice to Have (Pluses)
- Familiarity with GraphQL (building or consuming APIs)
- Exposure to AWS services, especially Lambda, App Runner, and EC2
- Knowledge of infrastructure concepts such as containerization, deployment strategies, or monitoring
Our Recruitment Process
15-minute Initial Call
20-minute take-home skills test
30-minute Call with the Recruiter (project, benefits, etc.)
Interviews directly with the client (depending on the project the # of interviews may vary, this may include a code assessment)
Final Offer!
Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)
Vacation: 10 business days a year
Holidays: 5 National Holidays a year
Company Holidays: 5 Company Holidays a year (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Zipdev Day)
