Job summary:
We are seeking an experienced sales and delivery manager to work with the US sales team and manage the sales enablement team. This is a hybrid leadership and support role, where the primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of the Bid and Proposal Writing Team in Cape Town while also collaborating closely with the Marketing Team, as well as the Sales Team on smaller opportunities, upselling, scoping new projects, and facilitating the handoff from sales to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage the Cape Town-based Bid & Proposal Writing Team, ensuring clear communication, efficient workflows, and alignment with overall business goals.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, feedback, and coaching to ensure high-quality deliverables and performance.
Sales Enablement
- Support the US Sales team in small sales opportunities, including assisting with pricing, developing proposals, and aligning resources.
- Ensure that all sales support aligns with service offerings and delivery capabilities.
Upsell & Account Support
- Collaborate with Squad Leads to identify and support upsell opportunities within existing client accounts.
- Assist in preparing proposals and strategic inputs to enhance client value; final commercial decisions rest with the Account Director.
Scoping & Transition Support
- Participate in scoping new projects, ensuring delivery feasibility and alignment with client expectations.
- Facilitate seamless handoffs from sales to delivery, ensuring all relevant details (pricing, scope, expectations) are communicated clearly and documented.
Handoff to Delivery
- Support the smooth transition of deals from sales to delivery, ensuring all relevant information, pricing details, and client expectations are properly communicated to the delivery team for successful execution.
Marketing Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to ensure alignment between brand messaging, sales materials, and proposal content.
- Provide input and insights from sales and client interactions to help shape marketing collateral and campaign messaging.
- Support the integration of marketing assets into the proposal development process, ensuring consistency and relevance.
- Coordinate with Marketing to highlight client success stories and gather inputs for content such as case studies and testimonials.
- Help ensure that the proposal writing function and Marketing Team are aligned on priorities, timelines, and shared tools or templates.
Collaboration & Feedback Loop
Provide client feedback and competitive intelligence to inform future go-to-market strategies.
Coordinate with delivery and product teams to ensure alignment between client needs and service capabilities.
Support the development of sales collateral by documenting success stories, case studies, and customer references.

Cape Town proposal team is delivering high-quality proposals efficiently, with clear roles, timelines, and feedback loops.
Clear, scalable processes are in place for supporting small opportunities, upsells, and scoping—without duplicating Sales ownership.
Seamless, well-documented handoffs occur between Sales and Delivery, improving client satisfaction and internal execution.
Proposal success metrics (win rate, turnaround time, accuracy) are tracked and improving over time.
Sales collateral (templates, case studies, pricing frameworks) are kept up to date and aligned with delivery capabilities.
Collaboration between Cape Town and US teams is frictionless, with shared tools and communication norms in place.
Marketing efforts are consistently informed by sales insights and client feedback, and proposal content aligns with current marketing narratives and materials.
5+ years of experience in sales enablement, proposal management, or project coordination within a services-based business—preferably in education, eLearning, or professional services.
Proven experience managing a small team, especially in a remote or distributed environment.
Strong grasp of B2B sales processes and supporting functions such as pricing, marketing, and proposal development.
Exceptional cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
High organizational competence; able to manage multiple streams of work with efficiency and quality
Proficiency in project management with an understanding of proposals tools will be advantageous

- Excellent communication, with a focus on enabling collaboration between sales, delivery, and marketing.
- Highly organized with a continuous improvement mindset, capable of identifying and resolving workflow inefficiencies.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, preferably within the educational services sector.
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle, from opportunity identification to project handoff, and the ability to support, but not own, key sales functions.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and locations.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and supporting sales enablement in a global context.
- Ability to manage and optimize workflows, ensuring smooth collaboration between the Cape Town Hub and the US-based teams.
- Proficiency with project management and proposal tools (PMP strongly preferred).
