Overview of Role
66degrees is seeking a Senior level Contractor to engage on a 12 months remote assignment for approximately 40-45 hours per week with potential to extend.
Please note: Candidates must be available to start ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks that are modular, reusable, and efficient.
- Identify test scenarios and create comprehensive test plans for web applications.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects effectively.
- Integrate automation scripts with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Work with SQL databases to validate data integrity and perform necessary test data setup.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand application requirements and provide feedback on design and usability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and test environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation.
- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Document automation frameworks, test scripts, and test results clearly and concisely
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience overall 10+ and 6+ years as an Automation Engineer, with a strong focus on web application testing.
- Solid proficiency in Java programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automating web applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with SQL databases and writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and their integration with automation frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
