As our Senior Business Analytics Specialist, you will develop and manage processes and procedures that support data-driven initiatives, with a strong emphasis on data management, including data collection, mining, standardization, and advanced analytics. You will be responsible for selecting the appropriate analytic tools and properly using such tools to execute data management and analytic processes. You will partner with Business Intelligence teams to define and support functional and/or architectural requirements of information delivery to ensure the integrity of project data, including extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis. You will verify completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of data warehouse information. Additionally, you will translate business requirements to design conceptual, logical, and physical data models and dashboards.
The fundamentals for the job…
- Create dashboards and presentation materials that convey complex information clearly to various audiences and monitor rate performance and rebate performance.
- Analyze and report on ad-hoc requests including market trends, sales, under/over performance, and store specific analyses to provide information efficiently and promptly.
- Design, develop and implement scalable big data models and predictive models using multiple statistical techniques to uncover patterns and correlations in complex data to help predict likely future outcomes.
- Develop processes for data collection, data mining, data standardization and analytics; initiate data management and identify use of analytics tools.
- Partner with business owners and technical resources to identify and address data quality issues when they arise.
- Partner with the business intelligence team to determine appropriate data warehouse architecture and data modeling designs to maximize benefits.
- Effectively communicate results to clients and staff through well-organized presentations that reflect analytic methods used and key decision points with sufficient detail to support comprehension of the analysis.
- Lead planning, design, and creation of both standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
- Act as project leader providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives. Collaborate closely with project stakeholders in the development of key decision support initiatives.
What we expect of you
The bold requirements…
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Analytics, Data Science, Health Informatics, or related field (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant experience may be considered.)
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within healthcare or managed care space.
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience writing complex queries, optimizing performance and building views/stored procedures for large‐scale claims and membership databases
- Advanced Tableau/ Power BI skills and experience designing interactive dashboards, data visualization best practices, parameterized filters.
- Experience with Excel and Qlikview.
- Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement.
- Experience developing dashboards, presentations, and contextualizing findings for different audiences (executive leadership, internal teams, clients, and prospective clients, etc.)
- Deep understanding of managed‐care/health‐plan operations—including pharmacy benefit management (PBM) workflows, formulary design, and utilization trends
- Familiarity with PBM-specific data structures (e.g., NDCs, GPI/GCN hierarchies, rebate/pass‐through models, medical‐pharmacy linkage)
- Experience building KPI reports for PMPM, PUPM, drug‐trend analyses, and clinical metrics (HEDIS, Star Ratings)
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytics solutions, partnering with actuarial, clinical, and finance teams to drive actionable insights. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- This position requires availability to work in a specified time zone or working schedule, accommodating the business needs of our clients and team members.
- This position may require availability for on-call hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to promptly address emergent issues or provide necessary support as dictated by operational demands (if applicable).
Nice to haves…
- Experience with prescription drugs, pharmaceutical manufacturers, drug rebates, and contract negotiations.
- Health Care Quality and Management (CHCQM), Professional in Business Analysis (PBA) or similar certifications.

- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
