Team mission
The Visual Optimization team strives to deliver state-of-the-art solutions for visual content, from upload to distribution, including validation, moderation, processing, and transformation. With millions of images and thousands of videos across our platform and channels, we ensure only the best visuals are surfaced at every touchpoint while building scalable and efficient systems.
Officially part of the Central Services group within the Growth department, we work closely with Content Marketing, Data Science, and other teams across the organization to drive innovation, experiment with the latest models and LLM technologies, and make a real impact on our customers’ experience.
Your mission:
- Develop algorithms to automate the image and video processing at scale
- Translate business problems into ML solutions and clearly communicate model impact to non-technical stakeholders
- Work closely with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of ML models into application architecture and deliver robust APIs for production use
- Prioritize customer impact, selecting the best approaches to deliver high-quality products for both internal and external users in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to the team’s roadmap and long-term product strategy
- Work with Python, Databricks (including MLflow, Spark, and SQL), PostgreSQL, SageMaker, Kubernetes, and other relevant technologies, helping us define the best tools for new use cases
Your toolkit:
- Machine Learning
- Deep expertise in both traditional machine learning and deep learning methods
- Strong grasp of modern computer vision applications, such as object detection, image classification, similarity search, segmentation, saliency, and multimodal models
- Hands-on experience training and optimizing computer vision models
- Familiar with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
- Skilled in building offline evaluation pipelines and using online experimentation frameworks to validate model performance in real-world scenarios
- Software Engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience writing efficient, maintainable, production-ready code
- Comfortable querying structured data and working with large image and video datasets
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Scala) is a plus
- Image and Video Processing
- Experience with image and video processing using OpenCV or other relevant libraries is a plus

- An advanced degree in computer vision, machine learning, or a related field is a plus
