👩‍💻 What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain high-traffic websites built primarily with ReactJs, Laravel and WordPress, focusing on performance, scalability, and code quality.

• Implement new features and improve existing ones, always following best practices in clean code, SEO, and web performance.

• Investigate and resolve bugs or technical issues, ensuring systems remain stable and efficient.

• Collaborate with the Lead Developer to define technical solutions and guide architectural decisions.

• Propose and implement improvements in tooling, workflows, and development processes.

• Keep up with new technological trends and bring forward ideas for new implementations—any suggestions to improve our current systems or precesses are always welcome.

• Leverage AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate development, troubleshoot issues, and streamline documentation.

• Keep an eye on performance, scalability, and best practices—both front-end and back-end.

Requirements

🛠 Must-Have Skills

• At least 5 years working in Web Development

• Based in Portugal (remote-friendly within the country)

• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development

• Proficiency in ReactJS, TailwindCSS, and Typescript

• Experience with WordPress or Laravel, or at least willingness to learn both

• Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases

• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills but also the ability to work alone

• Comfortable leveraging AI-powered tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate development, troubleshoot code, and boost productivity

• Open mindset toward integrating emerging AI workflows into day-to-day tasks—from code generation and debugging to documentation.
