The role
Our Engineering Productivity team is responsible for building the AI tools that are used across the organization to improve our efficiency and productivity as an engineering organization. As part of this team you will define and implement scalable technical solutions for complex business problems, with a strong focus on LLMs, AI agents, and foundational frameworks. You will drive key initiatives, working closely with stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams to build global solutions that work seamlessly across all markets. Your work will ensure a clear architecture with well-defined boundaries, enabling team autonomy and efficient operations worldwide.
On the technical side, you will leverage modern practices like DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and data-driven approaches to deliver incremental business value. You’ll design and develop scalable fullstack solutions while maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring reliability across all systems, and providing support and insights through analytics. Along the way, you’ll benefit from mentorship, workshops, and pair programming, while your curiosity and willingness to dig into different areas will help drive innovation and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team of 6-10 members, utilizing diverse technologies and frameworks.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end process, including architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of data pipelines, applying DevOps practices, pair programming, and other modern methodologies.
- Actively contribute as a solution-oriented member within autonomous, cross-functional agile teams, collaborating with product owners.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of HelloFresh’s core product and architecture, serving as an ambassador for software solutions and providing support and mentorship to colleagues.
- Work with modern technologies like AWS AgentCore, Ai agents, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Spark, Kubernetes, Istio, and more.
- Work in a data-intensive domain that is deeply integrated with all core company systems.
What you’ll bring
- Strong Backend or Frontend development skills, with at-least basic knowledge in the other domain
- Experience with Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with modern monitoring and alerting practices and tooling.
- Willingness to learn and dive into related technical domains, including DevOps, SRE, and data engineering.
- Familiarity with software design and testing methodologies and distributed system patterns
- Well-versed in the full development lifecycle—from writing unit and integration tests to profiling, tuning, and deploying applications
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge, staying current with industry trends and best practices
