MicroHealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with a passion for creating robust, scalable software solutions. You’re very handy with cloud-native AWS environments, and you’re no stranger to Healthcare EDI. You would be joining an existing team that is comfortable working together and you are ready to come and help us build an exciting new platform and suite of new products. You’ll get to be involved in everything from giving design feedback to planning and execution and growing our high-quality code base. Key Responsibilities:
- As a true senior dev, you’ll be eager and ready to join us in building every day.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services from the ground up in a new platform and suite of products while providing technical leadership.
- Offer engineering design solutions and input while collaborating with the team.
- Participate in an agile development cycle that supports successful engineering goals.
- Comfortable with code reviews and contributing to team best practices to help ensure delivery production quality code.
- Ability to optimize application performance and scalability.
- Some ability to mentor junior developers
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development
- Strong proficiency in Java 17 and core Java concepts
- Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud)
- Familiarity with Hibernate ORM framework
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with RESTful web services and API design
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Experience with Maven
- Experience with Git
- Must be comfortable working in an agile environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare IT or related industries
- Healthcare EDI experience very helpful
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platform
- Experience with Docker containerization technologies
- Knowledge of Angular front-end technology
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
