Job description

ABOUT THE COALITION

The Building Decarbonization Coalition (BDC) aligns critical stakeholders on a path to transform the nation’s buildings through clean energy, using policy, research, market development and public engagement. The BDC and its members are charting the course to eliminate fossil fuels in buildings to improve people’s health, cut climate and air pollution, prioritize high-road jobs, and ensure that our communities are more resilient to the impacts of climate change.

We focus on educating and inspiring consumers and contractors as our primary audiences, while also engaging key supporting groups such as manufacturers, retailers, distributors, builders, realtors, trade associations, and local, state, and federal agencies. Through our The Switch Is On digital platform and innovative marketing services, we offer tools, resources, and campaigns designed to simplify the transition to an all-electric lifestyle, making it more accessible and streamlined for everyone involved.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND KEY PRIORITIES

This position reports to the Director of Marketing in the Customer Experience and Marketing (CXM) department and works across marketing, outreach, and community engagement programs. The Senior Program Manager, Marketing & Outreach will lead the execution and scaling of BDC’s field outreach, community engagement, and marketing of our ambassador, neighborhood scale, and community engagement programs—building bridges between marketing and outreach campaigns and programs.

This role is responsible for managing a Community Engagement team, stewarding external partner and funder relationships, and ensuring outreach program accountability through CRM tracking, impact reporting, and deliverable execution. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience in marketing and outreach programs, has managed diverse community-facing teams, brings relationships and experience collaborating with community based organizations (CBO), and is motivated by making clean energy adoption more equitable and accessible.
