Job Summary
The Senior QA Lead is responsible for overseeing the QA strategy, planning and leading complex test projects to completion, coordinating efforts between the QA team and cross-functional team members, while ensuring that all testing is appropriate and aligned with project goals. This role also involves mentoring and guiding the QA team in best practices.
The position can be based in the Aachen office or remotely within Germany, with occasional visits every few months. Applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in Germany.
Job Responsibilities
- Create and evolve the QA strategy for your product area.
- Introduce and take ownership of quality and testing metrics for your product area.
- Oversee QA activities for major product features, ensuring appropriate and high-fidelity testing.
- Coordinate testing efforts between QA team members and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and guide QA team members in best practices and methodologies.
- Lead the development and execution of test plans and test cases for critical features.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to resolve complex defects.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
- Ensure that all QA activities are completed on schedule and meet quality benchmarks
Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in QA engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Thought leadership, advanced strategic and technical expertise, superior communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills, deep understanding of testing methodologies, and excellent communication.
- Ability to innovate at a high level, lead large-scale projects, and mentor senior team members.
- Ability to lead complex testing efforts, coordinate cross-functional teams, and resolve critical issues.
- Mastery of industry trends, company strategy, and future direction.
- In-depth knowledge of QA processes, test automation, and software development methodologies.

Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
