Job description
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by đź‘‹
Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market out? Well… you might just be in the right place!
We’re looking for a Senior Quality Test Developer to join our Hospitality team. You will play a key role in evolving and maintaining our in-house Python-based end-to-end (E2E) testing framework. You will act as both a hands-on contributor and a technical mentor, helping shape the future of our test automation strategy. This is an opportunity to drive quality and reliability at scale, improve developer productivity, and ensure our automated tests are both robust and scalable.
You will have a chance to make an impact in a growing part of the business from day one, and work with some of the most innovative people in the company.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Maintain and enhance our custom-built, Python-based E2E testing framework, ensuring it evolves to meet the growing needs of the engineering organization
- Support and mentor other Quality Test Developers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in automation, code quality, and testing strategies
- Lead technical discussions, propose improvements, and drive architectural decisions related to test automation
- Work closely with the Developer Experience (DX) squad to align on tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and integrations that enhance test reliability and performance
- You will also collaborate with Quality Specialists, Product Managers and Developers
- You will act as an advocate for maintaining the highest product quality
- Investigate and resolve flaky tests, contributing to stable and trustworthy test runs that reduce noise and improve team confidence
- Develop and execute strategies for maintaining and refactoring existing test cases, increasing their reliability, readability, and long-term maintainability
What you’ll be bringing to the team:
- Proven ability to lead by example, with a track record of mentoring and growing engineering talent
- Very strong understanding of CI/CD systems and how automated tests integrate into the development pipeline
- Experience reducing test flakiness and improving test reliability in complex systems.
- Comfortable collaborating across teams and disciplines, particularly with developer tooling and infrastructure teams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate quality goals into actionable outcomes
- You are a problem solver that does not shy away from tackling complexity, and a critical thinker who raises the bar and elevates their teammates to new heights
- You believe that quality is a mindset, not a job description
- You are highly analytical, with great problem-solving skills
- You have a natural curiosity and attention to detail
- You are self-motivated with the ability to function effectively in a team environment with minimum supervision
- You are eager to learn new technologies and methodologies
What you need to bring:
- Very strong experience with test automation and E2E testing in Python (at least 5+ years)
- Strong experience with Playwright / Selenium and Appium
- Strong experience with CI tools
- Experience in automation test design, planning, execution, analysis, automation script maintenance, and issue escalation
Even better if you have, but not necessary
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent knowledge
- Experience in mobile automation testing (ideally in iOS/Apple environments)
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and tools (AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes)
- Working knowledge of hospitality terminology and concepts
What’s in it for you
- Lots of autonomy, flexible work culture with the option of working remotely or from one of our beautiful offices
- Genuine career growth opportunities within a company that’s continuously expanding.
- Make a meaningful impact by helping merchants grow their businesses through creating or improving products and addressing customer feedback.
